Event Registration for GenCon 2008 begins April 20!!!!
I just wanted to get a quick notice in that event registration for this year's GenCon starts tomorrow, April 20. I was just reviewing the event listings and it looks like it's going to be a huge year for QAGS!!!!!
There are currently 31 events for a total of 114 hours of QAGS goodness that it looks like will be run at this year's GenCon. The economy may suck and gas prices are insane, but all of these QAGS events are putting a happy smile on my face. If you are a QAGS fan at all, hop on a plane, train or automobile, do whatever it takes to make it to GenCon this year.
Just to compare other "generic" roleplaying systems being run at GenCon, QAGS has three times as many event being run as GURPS, which has 10. It has 13 more events than Unisystem (and that's counting 4 for Unisystem, 11 for Buffy, 3 for Angel, 0 for AFMBE), which should make Kingyak happy (he justifiably hates those Eden Studios guys). It has the same number as Savage Worlds. Only the venerable Hero System and Champions really kicks QAGS ass with 109 events, about three times as many.
Great job to everyone who will be involved and I look forward to seeing all of you there. I'm thinking about hosting some kind of get together on the Wednesday night before the Con if anyone may be interested.

Wow, QAGS is gonna kick some ass at Gencon! I hadn't realized how many events we'd registered. More than GURPS or Unisystem (and I like Unisystem)? Neat!

One day into GenCon registration, and we have a tie with two events already full. They are (drum roll please)...
Cybersluagh's Thunder Gods event (pretty obvious really)
My own Sex, Lies and Ultraspies Submariners event (what? This I don't get)
Many other events look to be well on their way as well.
